PR 1440 Class S Fuel Tank Sealant. PPG Aerospace® Sealants
PR 1440 S is an aircraft integral fuel tank sealant designed to be applied by a spray gun. It has service temperature range from -55°C to 135°C and has outstanding resistance after prolonged exposure to fuels (jet fuel and aviation gas), oils and hydraulic liquids. PR 1440 S is a two-part, manganese dioxide cured polysulfide compound. After mixing the uncured material is suitable for application by spray gun. It cures at room temperature to form a resilient sealant having excellent adhesion to common aircraft substrates, aluminum, titanium, steel and many other materials.
