PS 892 CM Faying Surface Sealing Compound. PPG Aerospace® Sealants
This product is a flowable compound with a long application time for sealing the faying surface of integral fuel tanks and pressurized cabins. PS 892 CM was especially developed for use over a temperature range of - 55°C + 120°C and will resist aircraft fuels (aviation gasoline or jet fuel), oils and hydraulic fluids.( Skydrol ) PS 892 CM is a two-part manganese cured, based on Polysulfide liquid polymers. The formulation contains a solvent what is classified neither as flammable nor as toxic. PS 892 CM is available in 4 different grades of workability. After mixing, the compound cures. When the curing process is finalized, the compound adheres on aluminium, magnesium, titanium, steel and numerous different substrates. The mixed compound is a trowable liquid that may be applied with a brush, trowel or roller.
