Grease No. 9 aviation grease for special friction units
Characteristics. TU 38 001116-73
Grease No. 9 (TU 38 001116-73) or Grease 9 is an aviation grease that has a very soft structur with a color of light yellow (sometimes resistant; its preservation properties, water resistance are satisfactory; has low anti-acid and light - brown) colors. This
aviation oil consists from thickened barium-lead soap of stearin acid of MVP oil. Foreign
analog Nyco grease 44, is used for special friction units. Main
characteristics are Frost colloid stability. The Grease No. 9, an aviation grease is applied at temperatures not above + 80 °C.
But on frost resistance, the
aviation Grease 9 is one of the best aviation lubricants of the Russian production, with the minimum temperature of application of -60 °C. Water resistance and protective characteristics gives a quite satisfaction, the rack to effect of powder gases, however, is unstable at storage. Unfortunately, Grease No. 9 can be quickly oxidized even at tight storage. Sometimes Grease No. 9 is replaced with
MS-70 Grease.
Period of storage of
5 years.
Having
the corresponding price, aviation Grease 9 has pluses and minuses. Expediency of its use needs to be defined proceeding from technical characteristics.
